Happy Birthday Luke!

I haven't written on this blog for over a year, but I decided today was a worthy day to post. My oldest turned 11. I cannot fully describe how much he melts my heart. Luke is deep thinking, kind hearted, contemplative, analytic, determined, loyal, and faithful. This year has been an amazing one for him. He has grown academically, spiritually, and athletically. I enjoy watching him with his friends, as he is developing a cute new outgoing side. He had his birthday party last night at Falls Fun House, and he has the sweetest group of boys he enjoys to hang out with. They were all full of manners and respect. It made me proud. He had 3 of them spend the night...Evan, whom he has been friends with since birth, and Kyler and Kameron, a set of twins in his grade that he has grown quite close to. They are all great boys. We built a fort in his room, and they all slept (well, stayed up way too late actually!) in the fort. This morning when they got up, I took them all out for donuts. Their manners and gratitude were exceptional! I love you Luke. You make me smile. Your hugs, though infrequent, warm my soul. Happy 11th birthday! I am so thankful God gave you to our family to change our lives!
