Last week was spring break here, and while Dail had to go out of town for a conference, which was certainly not great timing, my Mom came and spent the week with us...which was so good for everyone. We went to the park, went for walks, went to the Gainsville Zoo with the Kochs (check that tongue out on the giraffe) where the kids even got to feed the giraffes! My Dad drove her down one weekend, and returned the second weekend to pick her up. It was nice to spend time with just her after my kids went to bed. I don't think we've had that since she helped me pack up in Pennsylvania! And, she and I even remodeled (well, painted and redecorated) our main bathroom. It was...simply wonderful!
