Aidan's favorite two things are Thomas the Train and Ice Age. So, he got double the fun this weekend as Thomas came to Grapevine Railroad Station AND Ice Age Two, The Meltdown opened. We surprised the boys on Friday by taking them to Grapevine. Luke loved it every bit as much as Aidan, even if he isn't infatuated with the Thomas show anymore. They got to ride a real train, led by Thomas, jump in those bouncy things that are at every kids event, see a huge Thomas built out of legos, play with trains, see a magic show, and Aidan rode the hand car (for reasons unbeknownst to us, Luke wouldn't ride it). There were NO meltdowns (at least not by our children), in fact they were so well behaved we were filled with pride. We finished the day with dinner at Joe's Crab Shack, which we all love for the good food and the playground the kids can play at before dinner. Today we took the boys to see Ice Age Two, the Meltdown. It was Aidan's first movie in the theatre, and he didn't budge from my lap the whole time. It was a very cute movie, and we all enjoyed it. Now we are all going to bed early, since with daylight savings, we'll lose an hour (but the kids might actualy sleep past 6:30 AM tomorrow!).
