I have heard about the Amtrak train that goes between OKC and Fort Worth for years, and have always wanted to pick it up in Gainesville and take it to one of those cities. We finally made that a reality this week, on my Mom's birthday! We (my whole family, plus my Mom and Dad and Dail's Mom) all drove to Gainesville, picked up the 11:01 train, and arrived in Fort Worth at 12:30.

Once we got to Fort Worth, we found Molly the Trolley that will take you around downtown and Sundance Square....

We walked around downtown too

And went to the Fort Worth Water Gardens!

We enjoyed a good lunch, some ice cream, and then headed back to the train station to pick up our 5:25 train. Back in Gainesville by 7 pm....what a fun day!!!
